How Sidekick credits work

Each Plain plan includes a monthly Sidekick credit allowance. It is your team's AI budget for the month, and it resets at the start of each billing cycle.

What uses credits

Sidekick is your in-thread AI assistant. A conversation with Sidekick can have multiple prompts, and the credits it consumes vary with the complexity or effort required. Reset and rollover

Credits included in your plan reset monthly and do not roll over to the next cycle. Credits purchased as an add-on roll over month to month.

When your allowance runs out

Sidekick pauses until your allowance resets at the start of the next billing cycle, or until you add more credits. Everything else in Plain keeps working normally.

How to buy more credits

If your workspace needs more credits than your plan includes, you can buy additional credits as an add-on, including mid-cycle. Contact your account team or email support@plain.com. If you are on Horizon or Frontier, you can also ask in your shared Slack channel.
