Pricing

Whether you're just getting started or scaling support across your company, our plans are designed to help you move fast, stay collaborative, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

All plans are billed monthly or annually (10% saving on annual) and include a free 7‑day trial – no credit card required.

In addition to your plan, usage of our AI assistant Sidekick is charged using credits.

Viewer seats are free across all plans, allowing you to invite your entire team to Plain to increase visibility on questions from customers.

Foundation

Best for: Early-stage companies with less than 10 people.

Includes: Up to 5 user seats, Slack (up to 25 channels), Email (2 addresses), Live chat and in-app form, integrations with Linear and Jira, Customer cards.

Horizon

Best for: Companies who have recently established a dedicated Support or Success function.

Includes everything in Foundation, plus: Up to 10 user seats, unlimited Slack channels, up to 10 email addresses, Microsoft Teams, headless support portal, advanced workflow rules, Business hours and SLAs, team-level reporting, Plain's AI-powered Help Center.

Frontier

Best for: Large support organizations or enterprise teams.

Includes everything in Horizon, plus: Volume-based seat or org-wide pricing, 25+ email addresses, Discord, AI-powered suggested responses, product insights reporting, concierge onboarding.

Credits

Credits are the unit Plain uses to measure Sidekick usage across your workspace. Credits give you full visibility into how your team is using Sidekick, without any surprises.

Credits reset at the start of each billing cycle. Unused allowance credits do not roll over.

If your workspace needs more credits than your plan includes, you can purchase additional credits as an add-on.

What uses credits?

Sidekick - Sidekick is your in-thread AI assistant. A conversation with Sidekick can have multiple prompts. The amount of credits a conversation consumes will vary based on the complexity or effort required. When you move to another thread, your next prompt will start a new conversation.

Frequently asked questions

What happens if I run out of credits?

Sidekick will be paused until your credits reset at the start of the next billing cycle, or until you add more. Your team can continue to use the rest of Plain normally, only Sidekick features will be affected.

Can I purchase more credits mid-cycle?

Yes. Contact your account team or email support@plain.com and we can top up your credits on demand.

Do credits roll over?

Any credits purchased as an add-on will roll over month to month.

Included credits reset monthly and do not carry over to the next billing cycle.
