How to reset your password or recover access to Plain
Plain does not have its own password system. You sign in using Google, Microsoft, or your company's SSO provider, so account recovery depends on which method you use.
Sign in with Google or Microsoft
If you are locked out, reset your credentials directly with the provider you use to sign in to Plain:
Google: Go to myaccount.google.com and follow the account recovery steps.
Microsoft: Go to account.microsoft.com and select "Forgot my password."
Once you have recovered access to your Google or Microsoft account, sign in to Plain using the same provider.
Sign in with SSO (Frontier plan)
If your workspace uses SSO, Plain authenticates through your company's identity provider such as Okta, Azure AD, Google Workspace, or OneLogin. You cannot change your credentials through Plain directly. Contact your IT team or identity provider admin to reset your password or restore access.
Still locked out
If you have recovered your Google or Microsoft credentials but still cannot access Plain, email help@plain.com with:
The email address on your Plain account
The sign-in method you use (Google, Microsoft, or SSO provider name)
Any error message you see
